New to PPG?

Some considerations for the new PPG pilot building a machine. These considerations need to be brought up no matter which plans you buy, or if you are building your own design. First off, we highly recommend specialized training to fly your PPG. A list of schools can be found at  http://www.usppamembers.org/school/school_search.cfm

Talk with your potential instructor about the SkyboltPPG. The instructor may not be familiar with this unit or may choose not to train on a home built machine for various reasons. One of those reasons may be that the instructor makes a commission from selling certain brands of equipment. Nothing wrong with that, being prepared to make up the difference on the price of training will still save you money. Our goal at PPGPLANS.COM is your enjoyment and success in this sport. Remember, if your going to fly a wimpy machine, or one that is costly to repair, you better be perfect! Do your homework, ask those in the know.

NEVER fly a Powered Paraglider without doing a hang test first! A machine that is tilted too far back can and has caused very dangerous conditions. Once again, meet with someone who knows and understands how to adjust a harness correctly!
